Maccabi Tel Aviv Declines Away Tickets for Europa League Match Amid Safety Concerns

Maccabi Tel Aviv has announced it will decline any tickets offered to its fans for the upcoming Europa League match against Aston Villa in the UK. The decision comes after local authorities initially banned Maccabi fans from attending the November 6 match at Villa Park due to safety concerns raised by British Police.

The police classified the match as high-risk, citing potential protests and previous incidents involving Maccabi supporters. West Midlands Police described the concerns as stemming from intelligence and past incidents, including violent clashes and hate crime offenses during a 2024 Europa League match against Ajax in Amsterdam.

Maccabi Tel Aviv emphasized fan safety as the top priority, stating that "hard lessons learned" led to their decision. The club expressed hope that circumstances would change, allowing them to play in Birmingham in a sporting environment soon. Despite the UK government working to override the local ban, Maccabi Tel Aviv's decision stands.

The controversy surrounding Maccabi Tel Aviv's matches has sparked debate, with some calling for UEFA to ban Israeli teams due to alleged human rights violations against Palestinians. The situation highlights the complex intersection of sports and politics.¹ ²

🇮🇷 IRAN HITS ISRAELIS WITH PSYOP SMS: "WE ARE COMING. LOOK AT THE SKY AT MIDNIGHT" Thousands of Israelis received threatening text messages today from UK numbers (+44). Some included personal ID numbers and family trees. "This is your last chance to save yourself and your family. Our embassies are open to you." The personal data came from Iranian hacking group Handala - they breached phones of Bennett, Netanyahu's chief of staff, Ayelet Shaked. Leaked thousands of contacts, now cross-referencing with stolen Israeli databases. Here's the tell: regime facing 13 days of protests at home, 65+ dead, internet cut nationwide, importing Iraqi militias.  Now they're sending mass spam to Israelis hoping to scare someone. That's nothing but a cornered animal making noise before the lights go out. Source: JFeed, Times ...
