Syrian Army Clashes with Kurdish Forces in Aleppo

The Syrian army has deployed tanks in Aleppo as fighting with the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) resumes after a ceasefire collapse. The clashes have forced over 162,000 people to flee their homes, with reports of civilian casualties.

The Syrian government claims to have taken control of 55% of the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood, while the SDF denies surrendering and vows to defend their areas. The international community, including the US and France, is pushing for de-escalation and a return to negotiations.

Trump Administration Labels Muslim Brotherhood Branches as Terrorist Organizations

The Trump administration has officially designated the Muslim Brotherhood's branches in Lebanon, Egypt, and Jordan as terrorist organizations. This move is seen as a significant escalation in the US government's counterterrorism efforts, aiming to disrupt the group's alleged involvement in violence and destabilization campaigns in the Middle East. The State Department has labeled the Lebanese branch a foreign terrorist organization, while the Jordanian and Egyptian branches have been listed as specially designated global terrorists for supporting Hamas.
