Netanyahu and Rubio Discuss Iran Protests Amid High Alert

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio held a phone call to discuss the escalating protests in Iran, Gaza, and Syria. Israel is on high alert for potential US intervention in Iran, following President Donald Trump's threats to intervene if the regime uses force against protesters.

The US and Israel are coordinating on security and commercial issues in Syria. Iran's protests, now in their second week, have resulted in at least 116 deaths and over 2,600 detentions.

Trump Administration Labels Muslim Brotherhood Branches as Terrorist Organizations

The Trump administration has officially designated the Muslim Brotherhood's branches in Lebanon, Egypt, and Jordan as terrorist organizations. This move is seen as a significant escalation in the US government's counterterrorism efforts, aiming to disrupt the group's alleged involvement in violence and destabilization campaigns in the Middle East. The State Department has labeled the Lebanese branch a foreign terrorist organization, while the Jordanian and Egyptian branches have been listed as specially designated global terrorists for supporting Hamas.
