Tragedy Strikes Kaduna Community as Bandits Attack Church

A devastating attack on a church in Kaduna State has left one pastor dead and over 20 worshippers abducted. The incident occurred on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, when heavily armed bandits stormed the community of Farin Dutse, firing sporadically and causing residents to flee.

The attack on the HEKAN Church has sparked widespread condemnation, with the church describing it as "callous, inhumane, and wicked." According to eyewitnesses, the pastor, Reverend Yahaya Kambasiya, was shot in the chest and died instantly after emerging from a nearby farm where he had taken refuge.

The church has confirmed that the body of the deceased cleric has been deposited in a morgue, and consultations are ongoing with his family for burial arrangements. This incident is the latest in a string of attacks on Christian communities in Kaduna State.

The community is in shock, and the church is calling for prayers and government intervention to bring an end to these incessant attacks and kidnappings.
