Trump Demands Investigation into 'Triple Sabotage' at UN

US President Donald Trump has demanded an investigation into a series of technical issues that plagued his visit to the United Nations General Assembly. Trump described the incidents as a "triple sabotage" and claimed they were deliberate acts meant to undermine him.

The incidents in question included an escalator stopping abruptly while Trump and First Lady Melania Trump were on it, a teleprompter failure during his speech, and audio issues that prevented world leaders from hearing his remarks without using interpreters' earpieces. Trump took to social media to express his outrage, saying, "This wasn't a coincidence; this was triple sabotage at the UN. They ought to be ashamed of themselves."

The UN has responded to Trump's demands, with Secretary-General António Guterres ordering a thorough investigation into the incidents. The US Secret Service is also involved in the probe. Trump's demands for an investigation have sparked a dispute between the administration and the UN over who was responsible for the technical difficulties.¹ ²
